the local sheep near my home

from the Lindisfarne series of performative objects, the piece is made of hand woven wool with lamp worked glass and porcelain beads. It is structured in the form a crinod - sea-lily fossil. These fossils were found in the limestone mines and coastal rocks of Lindisfarne, the stems of the fossilised plant were known as St Cuthbert beads.
